Can you install a GRP flat roof at any time of year?
The answer to this is a qualified ‘yes’.
The Topseal GRP roofing system, as installed by Cotswold Fibreglass Roofing Ltd, is designed to protect flat roofs from the ingress of water over many decades. Because of this, it is essential that the components of the new roof are kept dry and that the GRP laminate is not laid in wet weather or when wet weather is forecast. Equally, it is important for certain temperatures to be present for the satisfactory curing of the GRP resins used on your new roof.
If the weather is suitable (our installation team has been trained to check and accurately interpret weather forecasts for this purpose), a Topseal roof can be installed at any time of year. In practice, spring, summer and autumn are likely to have better weather, more suited to a successful installation.
