What is GRP roofing?

Topseal glass reinforced plastic roofing (GRP roofing) is a durable, attractive and proven roofing made from a high performance composite resin (the ‘plastic’) reinforced by chopped strand mat glass fibres ( the ‘glass’). Together, these form a tough, durable GRP laminate that forms a key part of the GRP flat roof.

A durable system without the problems of felt or other flat roofs

Our GRP roofs, which use the proven Topseal system, consist of a single-ply GRP laminate applied in situ over an 18mm OSB3 (oriented strand board) deck; the roof is finished with pre-formed GRP edge trims and a coat of pigmented topcoat. Textured and variously coloured roofs are easily achieved, as well as ‘green’ or ‘moss’ roofs. When laid by our trained, experienced roofing specialists, GRP flat roofing provides a weatherproof, durable system without any of the problems traditionally associated with felt or other flat roofs.

Our quality workmanship is ideally suited to GRP roofing

GRP fibreglass roofing has been used in the UK for nearly 50 years, with millions of square metres of roofing still doing sterling service. As well as quality materials from a reputable supplier, a key factor for long-term durability of GRP flat roof systems is the quality of workmanship. GRP roofing can fail if it is laid incorrectly, that’s why the performance of each roof is so dependent on the installer’s training and workmanship – and why Cotswold Fibreglass Roofing Ltd, with its strong background in quality workmanship, is perfectly suited to the installation of GRP flat roofing.
